When we connect our phone to traditional mobile internet, all our data flow and requests pass directly through the gateways of the local telephone operator. This operator has the ability (and often the legal obligation) to log your entire browsing history, IP addresses of the websites you visit, resolved domain names, and active applications.

Encrypted Cellular Routing
In a conventional mobile plan, your data goes in plain text or basic network encryption to the antenna, and from there to the operator's backbone network.
In a Private Mobile Connectivity system through dedicated eSIM profiles, the routing process is radically modified:
- On-Device Encapsulation: The mobile virtual network (MVNO) security profile forces the smartphone modem to package and encrypt all outgoing IP traffic before it reaches the local antenna.
- Secure Tunnel to Private Core: Data is transmitted through the local tower acting simply as a physical medium. Metadata Leak Mitigation
Even if you use HTTPS and all your websites are encrypted, a traditional connection reveals critical metadata:
- Domain resolutions (DNS queries) expose what services you use (e.g. if you open a banking app or a messaging app).
- The size and pattern of data packets allows the type of activity to be identified through traffic analysis.
By routing at the mobile network level privately, your DNS queries are resolved internally within the secure tunnel using private, log-free DNS servers. The local cellular operator only sees a constant transmission of encrypted data to a single server, preventing the collection of metadata or user behavior profiles.
