URL Checker: Analyze the Safety of Any Link

Phishing and malicious URLs are the main entry vector for cyberattacks. Before clicking a suspicious link, verify its reputation with our tool integrated with the VirusTotal API.

We scan against 70+ security engines (Google Safe Browsing, Kaspersky, Bitdefender, etc.) and report if any has flagged the URL as phishing, malware, or spam. Includes DNS analysis and SSL/TLS certificate inspection.

We recommend using this tool before clicking links from unknown emails, unfamiliar shortened URLs (bit.ly, tinyurl), or downloads from unrecognized sources.

How does it work?

  1. Paste the suspicious URL

Copy the complete link — including https:// — into the analysis field.

  2. Run the analysis

The tool queries VirusTotal and returns the result in seconds.

  3. Review the report

You'll see the number of engines that flagged the URL, category (phishing, malware, etc.), and additional metadata (redirects, WHOIS).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to submit URLs to be analyzed?

Yes. We only send the URL to VirusTotal (a Google-owned service) for reputation checking. Analyzed URLs may become public in the VirusTotal database — don't submit URLs containing sensitive tokens.

What does it mean if 0 engines flag it?

It doesn't guarantee the URL is safe — new phishing sites can take days to be indexed. Combine with common sense: verify the domain, look at the URL structure, and be wary of misspelled domain names.

Can I check IP addresses too?

In this specific tool only URLs. VirusTotal also supports IPs, domains, and hashes — you can search directly at virustotal.com if you need broader analysis.
